What we do
Here are NETwork Interventions, Verbal Behaviour Consultants, we have a range of services so as families and professionals need to look no further. We want all of your energy to be put into your family, not searching for services or spending time translating one service to another professional. We have learned how hard it can be for families when the speech and language therapist from one team writes a report which conflicts with an ABA professional in another team which then conflicts with the clinical psychological assessment of Mom from another team. It is a headache and a waste of precious resources. In order to save your time, resources and energy and to put your mind at rest, we offer a range of services to cover every aspect of your child and family. We know that our families and our children do best when their whole team are aware of not only the child and family and all of their needs, but when they have a close knit relationship and knowledge of how one another work also.
If there is a service you think we should be offering to better help our families, we would love to hear from you at

Assessments:
Behaviour Analysis
We use a range of behaviour analysis assessments to best design your our programmes. The assessments used depend entirely on learner level and family situation, and range from the assessments we have designed through to the Assessment of Basic Language and Learning Skills Revised (
ABLLS-R) Sundberg and the Verbal Behaviour Milestones Assessment and Placement Programme (
VB MAPP) Partington.
More..
Behaviour analysis is a science concerned with the behaviour of people and what people do and say. It attempts to understand, explain, describe and predict behaviour. We use behaviour analysis to determine the function of behaviour and to teach new replacement behaviours. We will teach you to understand the behaviour, explain exactly what is going on, describe why it is (or isn’t) going on and we will then be able to teach you to predict behaviour. Through this we can teach you to reduce inappropriate behaviours and teach new appropriate behaviours, such as language and social skills.
As you may be aware by now, Verbal Behaviour is the application of Skinner’s functional analysis of language to the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis. Currently Verbal Behaviour is the most effective and empirically proven intervention for those with autism, developmental disorders and disabilities. It is being used with amazing result in those with acquired head injury, such as from accident or stroke, and in those suffering depression.

Counselling
Counselling takes place when a counsellor sees a client in a private and confidential setting to explore a difficulty the client is having, distress they may be experiencing or perhaps their dissatisfaction with life, or loss of a sense of direction and purpose. It is always at the request of the client as no one can properly be 'sent' for counselling.
We often begin with counselling for our families as they are often under significant stress from the additional needs in the family. Sometimes we give individual counselling, sometimes couple counselling or marriage counselling and sometimes family therapy or family counselling.
More..
Typically we will use an interview style assessment to explore various aspects of coping, emotion and attitude. From this we can discuss with you whether we feel you would benefit from a more formal assessment and design a treatment plan for and with you.
It is not possible to make a generally accepted distinction between counselling and psychotherapy. There are well founded traditions which use the terms interchangeably and others which distinguish between them. If there are differences, then they relate more to the individual psychotherapist's or counsellor's training and interests and to the setting in which they work, rather than to any intrinsic difference in the two activities.
As clinical and counselling psychologists, we have the highest level of qualification and experience possible in counselling and psychotherapy. From our initial meeting or phone call, we are able to make an informed decision as to which of our specialists would be best suited to you.

Counselling psychology
Counselling Psychology is a branch of professional applied psychology and is concerned with providing psychological therapy that is individually geared to a your unique needs. Counselling Psychology is committed to evidence-based practice.
More..
Your counselling psychology treatment plan may use one or a combination of psychotherapy, psychological therapy, behaviour analysis and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). We have a range of assessments so as we can help you and your family to determine the most beneficial treatment plan for you. The type of assessments we may use vary completely depending upon your situation, from mental health needs assessments, risk assessments and psychometric testing.
We do not undertake assessments for assessments sake, but to best design your treatment plan to help you overcome your struggles. A more comprehensive list of assessments we may use can be found in our clinical psychology section below.
Less..
