It was a pleasure to have our consultant Shelley in our home for 2 days.
She discussed strategies, demonstrated them, then coached us as we worked with our son. We were delighted to see an immediate improvement in our boy. We really look forward to our next consultation.

Lu & team came to our home for the first time last week. Our thirteen year old son had no language other than 'a' which he said nonsensically. No word of a lie, after thirty minutes with Lu he said his first request. After the first day our son had ten requests and was laughing with glee. It is the first time since the age of 5 we as his parents have felt there is hope and have been inspired. Up until that point we had been told that our son would never speak.

My son was two when we began ABA with a largeish service provider in 2004. He had a diagnosis of severe autism. By 2008 he had learned lots of reeptive skills, labelling skills, matching etc but no language at all. He had lots of fears, strange behaviours and no social skills. In the August of 2008 we started with network and soon learned that actually we hadn't been doing ABA. In our first workshop Louise taught Nigel to say his first mands.
More..
By May 2009 our educational psychologist said he would have moderate autism. In September 2009 he started full time main stream school in year 2. Network helped us to get and keep our ABA funding. In May 2010 our educational psychologist said he wouldn't receive a diagnosis of autism at all. We have a little way to go, but Nigel is conversational, has lots of play dates and friends, enjoys school and wants to be lego designer when he grows up. For us, we aim for Year 3 to be completed with him having no aide, for him to have no obsessions and not to worry about losing a game.

We had always suspected there was something different about Jacob, right from when he was a year old and not developing in quite the same way as his cousin of similar age. Told by professionals we were creating a problem where there wasn’t one, we were at the point of absolute despair by the time he was three years old. For years the pediatricians told us to leave it another six months and to ‘wait and see’.
More..
At five years of age our son had no desire to interact with his peers. He was strangely disruptive and was, quite frankly, intolerable both in school and out. Jacob seemed to be the only child in his class to never receive an invite to parties and our friends seemed to have dwindled away. It seemed at times that he disliked his mother with a perverse pleasure.
He didn’t seem to be able to hear his father and he would often walk across his baby sister to the point that a stranger may have thought him both deaf and blind. As Jacob could talk well, possessed excellent math skills and had good independent play skills his SENCO, class teacher and headmistress all assured us that he was ‘shy’ and ‘strong willed’ and not to worry.
We really had no where to turn, until Jacob’s mother was approached by another mother in the playground. She gave us the details of her son’s consultant, Louise. Charging us nothing, Louise visited our home and spent three hours listening to us. She observed some video of Jacob whilst here.
She made some observations which hadn’t been made by three pediatricians, six medical doctors, three speech and language pathologists, five school teachers, two head teachers nor an occupational therapist. From video observations, Louise deciphered that our Jacob wasn’t able to process multiple instructions. He was motivated to interact, but didn’t have the skills to initiate and maintain a conversation.
This is when he would have frustrated outbursts. Louise offered to assist us is obtaining a diagnosis for Jacob, but encouraged us to look instead at his struggles and to work to fill these gaps as opposed to focusing our energy on a label.
Louise’s team gave us three monthly consultations at home and in school for a year. We had a therapist to help twice weekly at home, a super supervisor once a month visiting home and school and overall monthly reviews and quarterly consultations from Louise. Jacob was taught all of the skills he needed to thrive at school and we were given back control of our son’s education.
Louise personally supported us through marital rehabilitation due to the strains having a child with special needs had put on our relationship. The only strain we now have is too many party invites! I recommend you all without hesitation to anyone who has struggles in their families and with their children. You are all our angels.

What can I say that will do this incredible lady and her team justice? Louise spent over two hours with us on the phone to determine the best path for our seven year old twin boys. Unlike other ABA providers we had spoken to, Louise didn’t recommend a “cookie cutter” programme. Neither did she recommend the same approach for both boys. Nor did she didn’t recommend we have a full time programme to begin with.

Unfortunately I had heard some extremely negative hearsay from two other providers and boy am I glad I didn’t listen to them. It’s frightening to think where our boys (and our bank balance…) would be now without Verbal Behaviour Consultants. We have now been working with VBC for six months and could not be in safer hands. We have quarterly face to face consultations for our older boy and bi yearly consultations for our youngest. Louise is not our consultant yet she supervises every move her team and our family make, is on the end of the phone day or night and speaks with both my husband and I each month. Rachel is starting with us in February and we can’t wait!

VBC have transformed the lives of our family which was in tatters before they arrived on the scene, armed with clicker, data sheets and manuals! Our boy 11 (severely autistic) and girl 4 (aspergers) don’t know they are even being taught. They love the therapy and are coming on leaps and bounds. Miracle workers. I’m sure they have Irish blood.

We contacted NETwork Interventions (Verbal Behaviour Consultants) following using our current provider for six years for our son who has autism. We have a lovely supervisor with a very large provider but felt our programme was crying out for a shake up. Although our son had made progress, his language progression was slow if noticeable. At twelve years old, Matthew was using PECS for his expressive needs although had many receptive skills and vocal tacts.
More..
Mrs Kadayer gave a very thorough two day programme review and was highly professional at all times. Prior to our consultation she assisted us with completing the new VB MAPP and reviewed video footage. Mrs Kadayer arrived with recommendations in hand and wasted not a moment of our two days spent together. My family immediately fell in love with her. She empathetically included our eight year old daughter who often feels neglected and resentful of Matt. Mrs Kadayer designed a social recommendation specifically for Kay to implement with Matt and taught her to video record her session and take data from this afterwards. Most impressive.
Mrs Kadayer reviewed our current programmes, tactfully advising us not only what wasn’t appropriate but why each target wasn’t appropriate. She also guided us to research to support the removal of recommendations which was much appreciated.
We were shown how to contrive opportunities to teach Matt expressive language wherever we were. Mrs Kadayer came to the park (on an unseasonably rainy day in August), walked us through a meltdown in Morrisons (supermarket) and taught us how to teach language at every chance available. The biggest revelation we received from the consultation was that we can teach Matt as a way of life and that it doesn’t have to be a burden.
When it came time for Mrs Kadayer to leave we were full of enthusiasm, ideas and recommendations. Mrs Kadayer had Matt’s report with us within two weeks of the consultation. This was unlike any other report we had received. It actually had recommendations in it. The report was 57 pages in length and packed full of recommendation, ideas, examples, research references and data sheets.
We speak with on the telephone whenever we need to. Typically once a month following a video review. We will be starting a full time programme in December with NETwork Interventions Verbal Behaviour Consultants, following the termination of our contract with our current provider. We are excitedly anticipating our next consultation with Mrs Kadayer and interim consultation with Ms Brown. We hope to begin with monthly supervision consultations from Mrs McGregor in February.
Matt is now requesting over 100 items….will keep everybody posted. We now have renewed hope for our treasured boy.

We had a one off video consultation for our eighteen year old daughter who had Down’s Syndrome. With monthly video review and webcam calls, Elisabeth has made progress in three months than she has in the past eight years. I’m saving up for a face to face consultation for our family. I recommend this service to anybody who is looking to improve the language and behavioural skills of their children. Magnificent work.

My husband recently suffered an ischaemic stroke. With intensive physiotherapy he has the use of his left hand side again. Three months of speech and language therapy strengthened his muscles but did nothing for his speech. My husband was an independent and very proud and successful man. To see him in this way meant desperate measures. I contacted Louise as a last resort. I was desperate and read some research on the effects of Verbal Behaviour with stroke patients
More..
She listened to me and took a good history of my husband. She really cared about what he was like before the stroke. His abilities, struggles, motivations. Our family. Life. She taught me and his nurses how to go back to basics and recondition words. It was methodical, which appealed to my family. Steadily and surely my husband regained his speech. I keep saying this is miraculous but Louise keeps saying, no, it is science and the beauty of Verbal Behaviour. My husband is speaking with me and his speech will continue to improve until he is the man he was. Not seeing my husband frustrated and depressed is the most beautiful gift I have been presented with.

I attended a consultation conducted by Louise Kadayer for a three year old boy with autism. The consultation started with an observation/evaluation of the child and his environment, followed by an introduction to Verbal Behaviour and errorless teaching. Louise Kadayer's experience, professionalism and enthusiasm were key to the success of this first meeting.
After just one day progresses could be seen; thanks to the new methods, the young boy started to sign and even said 'Mum' and 'Dad'. These first encouraging signs gave confidence and hope to the child's family and team.

We are French parents of a young adult 23 years old with TED. We live in Nantes. We were beginning to work ABA with a French team but we wanted to do the best ABA VB. So we asked Mrs Jennifer Donnelly who lives in Canada and she told us to meet with Mrs Louise Kadayer. Mrs Louise Kadayer came home and she staid here for two days. For this short period, she dramatically helped us to improve our behavior towards our son ; she showed us how to give him joy of living, motivation.
More..
She immediatly thought up a programm to increase his self-sufficiency and communications skills.
Mrs Louise Kadayer energically trained us and our team. We were impressed by her knowledge, her intuition and her dynamism. Mrs Louise Kadayer's teaching is extremely cheerful, and strict in he same time. But not only that, she adapted herself to our son's personnality : this is amazing!
Of course, this VB way of working is very hard, almost in the beginning. But our son already has made progress and we are hopeful that he will progress more and more. So sorry for our English!

As the parents of a 6 year old son with Specific Language Disorder we have faced many challenges both with his speech, language and behaviour. Much as we love him we were wondering where we were going with his behaviour...until I spotted a company called Verbal Behaviour Consultants...."in for a penny" I thought and sent an email not expecting an immediate reply at all... but we got one.

We have only just started working with Louise but what a difference, she is there when we feel we are "doing it wrong" and she relates to our son completely never treating him like he is "naughty" or "badly behaved". Although we have just begun, our whole family are benefitting and the changes in our eldest has been quite refreshing to see. What we are embarking on will help our youngest son too after all children are not born with handbooks are they?! Supernanny has a rival at last."

We started to work with Louise after we had a break of Verbal Behaviour for our then 5 year old son on the autistic spectrum. Her input was from the beginning extremely successful and we saw immediately big steps in our son's progress. Louise is very accurate in her analysis and catching every opportunity to motivate new learning - not only on the child's side but also for the "grown-ups" around. Our son's programming could not be in better hands.

Brad is four years old with autism and could not speak before they arrived on the scene. He is now speaking so much I cannot keep up. I continue to cry daily, but thanking my Lord above for His provision of these amazing women. I recommend them unreservedly. I am a VERY high maintenance Mom. I’m sure I’m much harder work than Brad even.

Our son has been under the care of Louise and her team for two years now. I don’t know that I would use the term recovery for any condition or disorder or delay. That implies the condition has been eliminated. I can say that my son who was diagnosed at the age of three with autism and I was told would never talk, is another little boy. No diet or supplements (financially not affordable for us).
But ABA (Verbal Behaviour) under Louise’s guidance offering the correct educational supports in place in the home setting have made him along with his own hard work, the young talkative and social boy he is now at seven and a half years of age. Will he always have autism? Yes. Will he overcome the many obstacles that come with autism? Yes. Can any child? Yes.

We have a long distance consultation programme with NETwork for my twenty seven year old brother Mikie. He is hard work and lived in a residential unit until last year. I brought him to live with me as I couldn’t bear seeing the amount of medication Mikie was being fed on a daily basis. Mrs Kadayer has been our sole contact with NETwork and she has been amazing. She has given me support and counsel initially on a two weekly basis and now monthly.
More..
A year on, Mikie is asking for all of his needs and hasn’t hit me in three months. I look forward to spending time with my brother. He has even learned to make my breakfast! What a difference from a few months ago when I phoned Mrs Kadayer at 2am when Mikie was trashing our condo. Mrs Kadayer’s heart and passion is clearly for our missed generation of teenagers and adults who have autism and developmental disabilities. She has designed new recommendations for my brother and I would do anything to get her methods globally recognized in the fight for our adults with autism. We all need her. Thanks Louise. You are more than a consultant to us. You are like a long distance sister.

In 2007 Luke was a two year old boy who wore a helmet and mittens to prevent him from seriously damaging himself through his self injurious behaviours. He had no language and would smear and eat his faeces when he had the opportunity. Now in 2009 Luke is a four year old boy who craves attention and information. He is in Primary 1, attends parties most weeks, has a ‘bestest’ friend Lola and wants to be a pilot. Thank you doesn’t begin to cover our eternal gratitude.

I have known Shelley Brown for 6 months through the work she has undertaken with my autistic son. Under her guidance, she has made a significant contribution towards my son’s language acquisition and I have no hesitation in referring her to other families.
Ms Brown’s knowledge and skills in the area of Verbal Behaviour (VB) is extremely relevant in the field of autism and her continued presence within our community would be of great benefit to all families touched by this disability.

In my time supervising her work she has shown great passion and desire for continued education. She is diligent in keeping current with the research in our field. She seems to be on a constant quest for knowledge that will enable her to help her clients.
Ms Kadayer has excellent writing skills as I have seen in many written reports as well as a few manuals that she has help put together. They are clear and concise which is very important when you are writing for parents as well as professionals to be able to understand and implement recommendations from those reports.

I think that the highest compliment that I can give about Ms Kadayer is that she knows what she does not know. She never assumes she has all the answers and therefore is always searching to be sure she is implementing the best procedures and making the best recommendations for her clients. I respect this immensely.
I strongly recommend you consider Louise Kadayer

We have known Louise since January 2008 when we first consulted her for providing Verbal Behaviour ABA services for our 2.5 year old ‘Omi’ who was diagnosed with Autism eight months previously. Omi was also significantly developmentally delayed with very poor eye contact, no social interaction skills and non verbal.
More..
Ever since then Louise has been helping us develop and implement strategies to help Omi overcome his disability. She has provided us with hands on education and has visited our home many times to demonstrate with Omi practical ways interacting with him. She also visited his pre-school to train the teachers and develop a comprehensive and consistent education plan for him. She has also assisted us to get in contact with other social services and local therapists so that we could get that extra attention for Omi.
Under Louise’s guidance Omi has made significant and remarkable progress, his eye contact has improved dramatically, his periods of social isolation has decreased and he has begun to enjoy the company of others which has given us instructional control over his teaching, his self help skills have improved and he has started to babble into a few words. Louise has also provided us with much needed emotional support to help us overcome the lingering depression and sense of hopelessness that comes with having to care for a child with very high care needs.
Louise has exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and has been very proactive in enforcing us to put into place all that was required to provide the best learning environment for our son. We strongly recommend her for a post graduation in Speech and Language Therapy. We believe it will further enhance her ability to help my son Omi and others like him.

It is my pleasure to write this letter of recommendation in support of Louise Kadayer. Louise was a student in the Applied Behavior Analysis Programme at Penn State. This program is a distance-learning course. My recommendation of Louise is based on written work completed during my sections of three graduate courses (faculty members cover 2 weeks of each course), as well as online class discussions of course content.

In my role as Program Director, I have had the opportunity to interact with Louise on several occasions. Louise seems reliable, persistent, and good with details. I am impressed by Louise’s work ethic, organizational skills, and ability to carry out tasks independently – all key components to completing a distance-learning course.

CPsychol, Reader in Biological Psychology, Human Appetite Research Unit, Institute of Psychological Sciences, University of Leeds
Louise Kadayer completed a bachelors degree in Psychology within the Institute of Psychological Sciences at the University of Leeds receiving a 2i in July 2005. This degree program confers graduate basis for registraion of the British Psychological Society and has a high component of statistical and research training. I am very pleased to write a reference for Louise in my capacity as senior member of the Human Appetite Research Unit (HARU), and Reader in the Institute. I have taught Louise throughout her degree and was supervisor of her undergraduate research project.
More..
In terms of what she gained from this experience of research and aptitude for further development, I am very happy to recommend Louise. She has gained excellent research experience in the area, collecting Psychological and cognitive data during an in-depth and intensive research study which was an investigation of the effect of hyperactive and gender interactions on cognitive and Psychological functioning: Implications for diagnosis of ADHD for which she also received a 1. Louise’s approach to the design, collection and analysis of her data has been thoughtful and meticulous. The organistation of the running of the study on which Louise worked required good time management skills and Louise achieved timely completion with a high level of data quality and absolute professionalism. She is efficient and well organized and easily kept on top of the day to day management of her studies. Her interactions with staff and colleagues are extremely professional and she has demonstrated a mature, sensitive and caring approach across all aspects of research.
Both before and since leaving University, Louise has amassed a considerable amount of experience in Applied Behaviour Analysis. She has completed post graduate studies in Applied Behaviour Analysis and obtained professional certification as a behaviour analyst (BCABA). Her post graduate studies are a clear extension of her commitment to developing her skills in the area and to her motivation to work practically with children with communication problems. Her work with Autistic children and the ABA training and experience she has gathered demonstrates and ability to intergrate theoretical and practical knowledge which will be important given the nature of the course for which she has applied. Her personal characteristics and motivation are ideally suited to work in this area. She copes with the theoretical and the sometimes challenging face to face work and has already demonstrated considerable aptitude for this. I recommend her to you without hesitation.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Louise for the last 9 years. I was working with a girl with autism and Louise joined our team. Louise quickly formed strong and professional relationships with the little girl, her family and the other members of the team.
Louise has worked incredibly hard since then in each step of her career. Her aptitude and dedication to her studies and her ability to develop her practical work with families at the same time are an inspiration to me.
More..
I have watched Louise support a family over the last couple of years who were struggling with their child’s poor communication skills and inappropriate behaviours. What most impressed me the most was the way Louise immediately enabled the family to feel at ease, while methodically analyzing the situation and producing a coherent behaviour plan for the child. The steps Louise put in place were highly effective and have made such a positive impact in this little boy’s life, both at home and at school.
Louise is one of the most motivated and dynamic people I have ever known. Her dedication to every course of study she has undertaken is exemplary, as is her commitment and professionalism to all of the families she has worked with.

Our five year old boy, Aaron, could not speak a year ago. He spent all of his time staring out of the window flapping at cars or stimming at pingu. I had visions of him going to special needs school and then residential school with no hopes of any successful or fulfilling future for him.
More..
Louise came into our home bring vision, hope and excitement. Aaron began to speak during his first ever session with Louise. In fact, it wasn’t during a session. It was during my first coffee and discussion with Louise about how she may be able to help us. Louise has kept our family together and has given Aaron joy and motivation. She has taught us all how to live as a family and how to enjoy our life. Our family adore her. We thought Louise being in Australia would be disastrous for us. How we should have known better. Louise spoke with us weekly, reviewed video footage and flew back to see us every three months. What a lady.
I have seen Louise face massive opposition from people in the field of ABA here in the UK. Any less a person would have left the field, but not Louise. Only a strong, resilient and passionate person could have stood up for what she believed in. Thank goodness for our children and families she remains working and now has a loyal and dedicated team which she has built up. I don’t believe one of the professionals who have given such opposition has helped to recover a child. I don’t think any of those families jumping on the bandwagon of those professionals have a recovered child. Such a great loss.
We don’t need a programme any longer as Aaron is in full time main stream school and is completely indistinguishable from his peers. Lots of hard work and tears from us, Louise and Aaron. But we made it. Louise still visits us when she is back in the UK for monthly for a coffee and a play.
